On The Fringe Hair Studio's owner, stylist Maura Staback, has been in the hair industry for more than 27 years. She believes that her clients deserve to feel and look their very best - her impetus in creating a relaxing environment and beautiful space where she and her team are able to make it happen.
"My dedication to pushing the salon forward while staying on trend will always keep On The Fringe Hair Studio where it needs to be - on the cutting edge," Maura explains.
"I learned the industry from the ground up," she continues. "I'm passionate about cutting and coloring all types of hair." In 2011, Maura received the Best Stylist/Sanderson State Street Salon title in the Best of the Abingtons Reader's Choice Awards presented by the Abington Journal and Wilkes-Barre Publishing Company. For two consecutive years (2016 and 2017), On The Fringe Hair Studio received Reader's Choice Awards presented by The Valley Advantage, titling in two categories.
In addition, Maura and her brother are co-founders of the CASUAL Day fundraising initiative - Colon Cancer Awareness Saves Unlimited Adult Lives - created to promote both community colon cancer awareness and colorectal cancer screening. Colon cancer took the life of their mother, Helen Phillips, less than six months after being diagnosed in 2002; since its inception in 2003, more than $1 million has been raised through the CASUAL Day fundraiser to benefit the community.
